Kirari participates in a mass suicide ritual—swallowing sleeping pills and inhaling toxic charcoal smoke—but instead of dying, she wakes from a strange dream about a girl’s suicide. She returns home and tries again to end her life, only to find that whatever method she uses, she cannot die. Lucio then reveals that Kirari has been chosen to become a “ Suicide Girl ,” a magical girl of salvation, tasked with saving people from despair and the phobias that push them toward suicide. Blending horror, supernatural, and action elements, Suicide Girl examines themes of mortality, the struggle to find purpose, and the line between salvation and suffering.
